Alex Rapp '09 named Varsity Football Co-Captain
Alexander Rapp, a member of the Theta Delt class of 2009 from St. Louis, Missouri, was recently named Co-Captain of Dartmouth's Varsity Football Team. Rapp was chosen by his teammates along with Andrew Dete and Milan Williams to lead the Big Green to a victorious 2008 season.
Rapp was recruited for to play football for Dartmouth after graduating from St. Louis Country Day School in 2005. Although he sustained injuries during his freshman and sophomore year, he made outstanding contributions on the offensive line during the 2007 season. Rapp wears jersey number 68 and plays Left Tackle; he will be the only returning starter on the offensive line next year.
At the close of the 2007 season in November, 2007, Rapp received the "Jake Crouthamel" Award for the highest number of contrubutions over the course of the season on the offensive line. In addition, Theta Delta Chi is glad to have Rapp as the Krukon for the class of 2009.
Rapp looks forward to the upcoming season, and has high hopes for the team and for his senior season. According to Alex, "The team has made tremendous gains this past winter, which were showcased in a successful spring scrimmage. We look forward to a productive summer offseason, and a winning fall." Theta Delt as a whole congratulates Rapp on his successes and looks forward to watching him tear up the turf as he leads the Big Green to victory in the Fall of 2008.
